Trust and transparency

How TripperTip researches travel guidance

Our public guides are designed to make route, time, transport, and trade-off decisions clearer. This page explains who publishes them, how AI is used, what our review does—and does not—claim, and how corrections are handled.

Last updated July 19, 2026

Our editorial standards

Useful before exhaustive

A route should help a traveler make a decision. We prefer coherent geographic clusters, realistic recovery time, and explicit trade-offs over an oversized landmark list.

Primary sources first

Transport, attraction, accessibility, worship, and municipal facts are checked against official operators or public authorities. Each editorial guide exposes the sources used and the date they were checked.

No invented trust signals

We do not publish fabricated ratings, reviews, firsthand claims, prices, opening hours, or accessibility guarantees. Estimates and editorial models are labeled as such.

Publication workflow

What a guide must pass before publication

  1. 1

    Define the decision

The page starts with a real traveler question—such as how to group a first three-day visit—rather than a keyword variation.

  2. 2

    Build the geographic model

Stops are sequenced into coherent districts. Transfers, elevation, large stations, security, heat, and recovery time are considered explicitly.

  3. 3

    Check authoritative sources

Claims that can change are checked against the destination authority, transport operator, attraction, or public body. Source URLs and the check date are published on the guide.

  4. 4

    Label uncertainty

Operating details are not frozen into evergreen prose when they are likely to change. Readers are directed to the official source for the travel date.

  5. 5

    Validate the output

The page is checked for crawlable text, one clear heading hierarchy, matching structured data, useful internal links, mobile readability, and a non-deceptive call to personalize the route.

How we use AI

AI can assist with route ideation, structure, comparison, and drafting. It does not turn an unsupported claim into a fact, and it does not create firsthand experience.

Public editorial pages identify themselves as route models. They link to the official sources used, disclose when operating information must be rechecked, and do not claim that a route has been personally walked unless a named contributor explicitly documents that experience.

Personalized planner results are generated for the traveler's inputs and may incorporate live or recently retrieved information. Important bookings, entry rules, safety decisions, and schedules should always be confirmed with the responsible provider.

Freshness, corrections, and meaningful dates

  • A visible source-check date changes only when the guide and its sources are actually reviewed.
  • Sitemap modification dates use the same editorial record; they are not replaced with the build or request time.
  • Confirmed closures or material route changes are corrected in the guide rather than hidden behind a new date.
  • A correction that changes a travel decision is reflected in the visible copy and, where appropriate, the structured data.

Authorship

Current destination and itinerary pages are published by the TripperTip Editorial Team as an organizational author. We do not invent individual bylines. When a named local contributor or specialist participates, their relevant experience and contribution will be stated on that page.

Scope of the guidance

Travel information is planning guidance, not a guarantee of access, safety, price, weather, visa status, or service. Confirm consequential details with the responsible official provider.

Report a correction

Include the page URL, the disputed statement, and an authoritative source where possible.
